Fabulous Flare Wear Bulletin!
I just scored big time finding these easy and comfy leggings that can be sized up to function as pants! These are great for ANY type of arthritic!
Shopping has never been the same since I started experiencing joint symptoms. I decided early on I didn’t want to make my joints any angrier than they already were, so I focussed on easy to put on clothing! I also favor easy to care for items, saving steps in any area of my life is the way to go! RA (rheumatoid arthritis) pretty much forces efficiency, which is a good thing.
I’m moving toward a more minimalist wardrobe. That means using multiple ways to style the same piece! These leggings come in a variety of colors and details, including denim. I chose the black legging, the denim legging and a black legging with a stitched seam down the front that I sized up to fit more as a trouser pant. I can pair any of these with sweaters, tops, jackets, you name it! They work with lots of options and move from one season to another seamlessly!
To explain why I like these pieces, I’ll share three criteria I use to gauge how usable the clothing will actually be once I get it home.
3 Basics For Arthritic “Flare Wear”
First, comfort has risen to the number one criterion, even over style since my joints became an issue. I focus on the feel of the fabric and how the item is going to be worn. These leggings have the stretch without losing shape throughout the day. I can wear the jean style for a more casual use and the sized up variety when I dress it up a bit! The stretch allows for movement and gives to move through the day with various activities. There are no pesky buttons, snaps or zippers to manipulate. What really appealed to me is the satiny-lined waistband. This allows for the legging to just glide when you put them on. So often the fabric of a legging wants to hug the leg, but this lining reduces the resistance making getting dressed so much easier. As a plus, on those days when your hands, wrists and fingers aren’t working so well, the easy glide saves on further irritating them! They are sized XS,S,M,L,XL,2x,3x.
Secondly, easy care is important. Simplifying means reducing need for special care for my clothing. Who has time or energy for that! Machine wash cold, wash separately and line dry. Do not iron, I’m loving that part! They retain their newness nicely. Some leggings I love do not stand up to the washing cycles.
Lastly, is the price point. The price range of these leggings is $58 to $90. I think that is reasonable as I will wear them a lot!
This is not an advertisement, just information I think you may find helpful. I am NOT getting compensated in any way for sharing this information. The brand is called Lyss’e in the sportswear department! I purchased these at Nordstrom. I’m all about making life easier for my fellow RA journeyers! You really don’t need to have arthritis to appreciate comfy, versatile leggings! I may have eventually found the benefits of these gems without RA!
Choosing comfortable, easy to get on clothing that is easy to care for and can be purchased at a good price point is using Arthritis Wisdom!
I would love to hear your suggestions! Please do share them!
